Meet our Founders
Doris Richardson was a pioneer in education who, despite not being able to read, ensured that her children and her children’s children were not just educated but given the best opportunities possible. Andrea and Sheri-Anne Vaughans are proud descendent of Mrs. Doris Richardson and have decided to carry on the legacy of providing access to top-notch educational experiences.
Andrea Vaughans & Sheri-Anne Vaughans
Andrea Vaughans is a shining example of the transformative power of scholarships and mentorship. As the first medical doctor in her family and a first-generation college and university graduate, Andrea knows firsthand the impact that education can have on a person's life. Her journey was shaped by a pivotal scholarship she received from the Marriaqua Friendly Society at the age of 10, which not only enabled her to attend secondary school but also inspired her desire to give back to others.
Now, as a mentor to medical students and a supporter of students in St. Vincent, Andrea is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to achieve their goals and make a difference in their communities.
Andrea's dedication to philanthropy and social impact is truly remarkable. Her long-term goal of creating a state-of-the-art hospital in SVG that provides free or affordable healthcare to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a testament to her commitment to giving back and creating positive change. Leveraging her network of medical experts and collaborators, Andrea is poised to make a lasting impact on her community and provide a much-needed resource to those in need.
Andrea's passion for empowering young people and helping them discover their full potential is infectious. Through her mentorship of medical students and support of students in St. Vincent, she is creating a ripple effect of positive change that will last for generations to come.
Andrea's generosity, dedication, and commitment to social impact make her an inspiration to all who know her. She is proof that with hard work, dedication, and a commitment to giving back, anything is possible.
